Vitell announced today that we now provide training and consultancy services for the Mikrotik RouterOS platform. Running on either Mikrotik's own hardware (the RouterBoards) or traditional x86 PCs, RouterOS is a router with all the necessary features - routing, firewall, bandwidth management, wireless access point, backhaul link, hotspot gateway, VPN server and more.
The RouterOS platform has been stealing customers away from traditional edge device vendors for just two reasons:

2. Features
Simple as that!
Speaking this morning, Vitell's senior partner, Nick Barnes, stated "We have only recently switched our edge and routing devices to Mikrotik's RouterOS and we are astounded at the number of features and options which would have been out of our financial reach previously - We can now buy a £50 box which does exactly what a competitor's £2500 box does. For this reason alone, switching our infrastructure over was a no-brainer decision.".
